Construction of the new line (the first new connection between Germany and Poland since 1945) was completed in February 2008. The opening date of scheduled passenger train operation by Usedomer Bäderbahn is still uncertain.

 [Angermünde -] Tantow - Szcecin (electrified)
After upgrading the infrastructure between Tantow and Szczecin to permit operation at 160 km/h and refurbishing Passow - Tantow DB works to Szczecin Glowny again. Private operator rail4chem runs tank block trains in cooperation with other operators.

In december 2006 private operator NBE (Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn) took over service from DB regio and works passengers services on the most-frequented German-Polish line.

 [Frankfurt (Oder) -] Frankfurt Oderbrücke - Slubice [- Rzepin] (electrified)
EuroCity services are hauled by Czech dual-system electric locomotives or Railion diesel locomotives between Berlin and Rzepin. PKP works freight to and from Frankfurt Oderbrücke where DB and PKP electric locomotives are changed.
Since July 2007 CTL works nonstop trains without change of locos.

 Guben - Gubin [- Zielona Góra]
Passenger services were withdrawn due to mouth and foot disease on 6 October 2002.
CTL operates block trains (koke and chemical products) to Guben, where the coke trains are taken over by Rentatrain (subsidary of CTL) and the chemistry trains change haulage to rail4chem.

PKP works EC-services 240/241 to Cottbus since 12. December 2004. In December 2007 PKP started operation of one regional train to Cottbus to avoid light running.
